The Order of Malta helped the Terry Hope Centre in providing food, activities and education for 75 orphaned Children in Nairobi since 2008. When the Order of Malta first got involved in this small orphan feeding project the orphans were gathering in open space in the middle of a slum to have their Saturday lunch.
Through the generosity of many donors we were able to help to provide a hall, kitchen, lavatories, fencing, ground surface, climbing frame, gate, books, toys, clothes and shoes.
Now, almost 2 years later, they have the most wonderful place to congregate and we feel reassured that they are being left in good hands, with Terry Stobbs steering the ship. We will of course keep closely in contact with them and will put news of their progress in future newsletters.

This project funds the feeding of orphaned children in the Ngando slum of Nairobi. All of the children live with foster parents or destitute single mothers, however, none of these homes are able to afford to buy food for the extra mouths.
